How can one not like Annecy? Its flat and easy to walk around but at the same time no matter where you are you can view the snow capped Mountains, its a little like being in Switzerland or Austria.
Today for something different we walked around the old town with cobblestone streets, old buildings of all colours leaning over the winding narrow streets and many buildings on the canals leading off of the lake. Wherever there is room there are tables and chairs set up by the local patisserie, restaurant or bar owner, awaiting the customers who will sit and enjoy an espresso for an hour or so whilst people watching.
We enjoyed a baguette on the lawns of the lake in the beautiful sunshine and tasted our first sorbet from the glacier which was delicious.
Bit of a catch up day, the girls bought some clothes in a shop called H&M (Astrud knows it well), its modern and affordable, for the young skinny bitches!
